Our Response To COVID-19.
As a thrift retailer with great interest for the well-being of our community, we continue to navigate and adapt to the many challenges and uncertainties of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
While our doors have been closed, we’ve made preparation for when we’re able to start running the store again.
Our goal is for everyone to feel safe shopping with us for all household necessities and clothing, and while dropping off reusable goods when responsibly decluttering your home.
With this in mind, we’re sharing some of the actions we’re taking to help ensure the health and well-being of our customers, our team members and their families, and the community in general.
When visiting our stores, your experience will look a bit different due to some changes that has been put in place around the store.
Here’s what you can expect:
Community Donation Centre hours
Our stores has been reopen as we assess Provincial market conditions. Initial hours will be shortened during the weekend to allow for additional time to thoroughly clean our sales floors.
Creating a safe shopping space
We’ve organized merchandise displays to create additional space on our sales floors to further support social distancing. You’ll notice floor decals throughout our stores and check-out lanes displaying distance measures making it easier for you to judge the proper physical distance from other shoppers. Our store has also limit the number of shoppers inside store at a given time.
Like other retailers, we’re also closing our fitting rooms to further protect your health and safety. We know that trying on clothing is a part of your experience in the store, so we will extend our exchange policy on clothing and shoes to 5 days as you hold on to your receipt as this would allow additional time for you to try on your items at home.
Enhancing daily cleaning procedures
We’re deep cleaning our stores prior to reopening and will increase the frequency of cleaning commonly touched surfaces, like check-out areas and shopping carts. In addition, sanitizer stations has being provided at the entrance and exit of the store for your comfort and convenience.
Our team members will be wearing protective gear for their protection and yours. A clear protective shield has being display at the cashier checkout for protection between our cashiers and customers. If you aren’t feeling well, we kindly ask that you stay home and take care of yourself. We’ll be here when you feel better to shop in public again.
Adjusting our reusable bag policy
We always want you, your fellow shoppers and our nonprofit partners to feel welcome and have a great experience with us. We appreciate your understanding and co-operation toward this difficult time of COVID-19. Thank you all once again for your support as our teams work hard to make our stores and Community Donation CentreTM locations a safe place for our community.
We’ll continue to listen to advice from local health and government officials, as well as feedback from our team members and our customers, as we consider how we can best serve you while helping to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Your health and safety is what matters the most.
