About Us
Qualitown Thrift Store is a Canadian-owned and operated business that primarily serves British Columbia. Established in 2015 in Cumberland by Caroline Ese Bleaney, a Canadian-African mother of two, Qualitown later relocated to Campbell River, where it operated from 2016 to 2022 (Qualitown Thrift Store). Our mission is to provide clean, high-quality, and affordable clothing to the community, while also supporting homeless individuals and others in need as circumstances require (Campbell River thrift shop offers free shopping for the homeless as needed, 2020).
As a community-based business, we advance our mission by dedicating efforts to creating a positive social impact. In 2023 alone, we distributed over 7,500 items of clothing to community members in need, and our volunteers contributed hours to support our programs and services.

All of our clothing is made from community donations, as we encourage the process of reduce, reuse, and recycle.
Additionally, proceeds from Qualitown support the Qualitown Home Foundation, which provides assistance to homeless and in-need individuals (Qualitown Thrift Store Profile, 2025).
Driven by our commitment, we are actively seeking a location in Langley to establish a non-profit homeless shelter and expand our support to additional individuals in need.

Our Home Foundation
Qualitown Home Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families in need within the Qualitown community. The foundation focuses on providing safe, affordable housing solutions and essential support services to those facing housing insecurity or homelessness.
Through partnerships with local businesses, volunteers, and generous donors, Qualitown Home Foundation renovates existing structures and builds new homes to ensure everyone has access to a stable and secure living environment. Beyond housing, the foundation offers programs such as financial literacy workshops, job training, and counseling services to help residents achieve long-term self-sufficiency.
