Responsible: Sorting of donated clothing for resale and recycling

Responsibilities
- Sort donated clothing into categories for sale or recycling, to maximize resale value.
- Accept donations at ones when donors drop off
- Identify stock that will maximize income through the E-commerce department or our online auction.
- Identify higher-value brands for a slightly higher price.
- Welcome and offer to assist customers in the Donations Centre, to ensure an excellent
customer experience. - Keep the sorting area organized, clean and tidy.
- Work as part of the Retail Team to assist in achieving its financial goals.
- Gain knowledge and understanding of other areas of the Donations Centre, assisting other
departments as and when required. - Textile Processors are responsible for assisting in the intake of soft donated goods including clothing, bedding, towels, curtains, etc.Other Responsibilities include:
- select and sort soft-good items by category, including seasonal and salvage (recycling)
- sorting clothing items by size, colour, and type of clothing
- examining items for any defects including holes, stains, or other issues
- hanging and pricing of goods prior to store display on the store sales floor
- filling racks with sorted items to be sent to the sales floor
- Preparing rejected goods for disposal as assigned
- Maintaining a neat, safe, organized, and clean work environment at all times

- Ability to identify good and bad clothes
- Ability to understand various categories
- Ability to understand brand name clothes
